The ability to effectively communicate and inspire is a lifelong skill that is valuable regardless of career choice. The Josh Crews writing project inspires young authors by giving them a means by which they can write their own stories and even have them published. When these students see their work in print it is truly priceless. This creates a fun and inspiring learning environment that truly helps shapes a child. Not to mention a springboard for future authors.
This program was established in memory of Flagler Palm Coast High School graduate, Josh Crews, who tragically died at a young age. His love of the English language and people in general was inspirational. He never met a stranger and was loved by many. His memory lives on each time a child participates in this life altering program.
Thankfully, we were able to have a very productive year in the program. This year, we had over 150 authors participate in the anthology. The 2024 Anthology will cost $10 and will be available to preorder on March 20th & pick up on April 17th at the Josh Crews Writing Project Book Launch, or you may purchase them here on the website, and they will be shipped to you. If you want to buy a copy of the 2024 Josh Crews Writing Anthology, click our donate button & the drop-down that says 2024 JDC Anthology Book.
This year's Josh Crews Writing Project Book Launch is our 13th book published. We have more students involved with the Josh Crews Writing Project this school year than any other, with two of our schools having to have two clubs due to the overwhelming number of students. Every school in our district has a student published in this year's book.
