The Josh Crews Writing Project is in honor and memory of Josh Crews, an extraordinary writer and avid reader who died in 2010 in a tragic accident.

Teachers from each school take time to work with students each year as part of a district-wide effort to polish student’s reading and writing skills by asking students to publish an anthology of writing. The book is printed with a softcover, illustrated, registered in the Library of Congress, and available for friends and family to purchase. Copies of the anthology are available in each school library, potentially impacting thousands of elementary age students. Funds for the Josh Crews Writing Project are raised by this annual event.

This year’s theme is the Wizard of Oz. We will be taking a walk down the yellow brick road because there’s no place like home.
